For males, there are tests to check if there is problem with their sperm. Semen analysis measures the quantity as well as quality of the sperm. Characteristics being examined include the ability of sperm to move or motility, size and shape of the sperm.
Aside from the semen analysis, other test maybe required like blood test for FSH, LH, and testosterone levels. These hormones affect the maturation and development of sperm. Physical examination for anatomic defects or abnormal conditions can also be performed. Likewise, more extensive semen testing of semen can also be performed in order to pinpoint the problem.
